Stephen Rochford's first league game in charge of Mayo ended in a nine-point defeat for the new manager.
It was a lacklustre performance from Mayo, who, in mitigating circumstaces, were missing several players.
The main talking point after the game however was not the Mayo performance but a collision between Lee Keegan and Eoin Cadogan with just over 20 minutes of the second half remaining.
The Cork player was substituted immediately. Keegan was allowed to remain on the pitch for another 10 minutes.
Speaking to Newstalk's Dave McIntyre following the game, Stephen Rochford had a few words to say regarding the incident.
In Lee, I haven't spoken yet with Dr. Sean Moffatt but he was referring that he was fine but quite clearly our own video analysis team and our own doc could notice it straight away.
You know, we got him out of the field as quickly as we could. He was communicating at the end of the game. Hopefully if there is a concussion aspect, it's something minor.
Asked by McIntyre if perhaps rather than leave Keegan on the field of play, should caution have been applied to the situation, Rochford gave some answers which could be considered unsatisfactory.
The medical team were communicating with him. He was captaining the team. Sometimes you say do you mind the player from himself. He was responsive in that he was communicating with the doctor. Once we were able to clearly notice that he wasn't himself, he was pulled.
