If he can nail six points (or 1-3, or 2-0) from play in the All-Ireland final, then Bernard Brogan will emerge as the highest scoring player from the 2015 season - without scoring a single point from a placed ball.
Brogan currently lies third in the scoring chart, after scoring a whopping 6-19 from play. He hit goals against Mayo, Fermanagh, Westmeath, Longford and two against Kildare.
He trails the joint leaders Sean Quigley and Cillian O'Connor, who've hit 2-36 and 3-33 in the championship.

The top 10 isn't an elitist environment. Longford's Brian Kavanagh comes in fifth after hitting 1-29 in the championship, albeit with 1-22 coming from placed kicks. Meanwhile, Laois's Donie Kingston (remember when Laois got knocked out?) lands in eighth spot, hitting 2-22, the bulk of which came from play.
