St Vincents v Castleknock highlights: all the main scores and talking points from a tight tussle in the Dublin SFC final at Parnell Park on Saturday.
On Saturday a young Castleknock side came up just short against St Vincent's in the Dublin Senior Football Championship final, losing by 0-15 to 0-10 in a match that saw Castleknock put up a brave fight. The sides were level at half-time as Diarmuid Connolly had a slow start for Vinnie's and Ciaran Kilkenny was everywhere for Castleknock. But Connolly really turned on the style for Vincent's in the second half and they pulled away from 'Knock, former Mayo star Enda Varley and Mossy Quinn oozing class with 0-9 each.
Dubs fans will enjoy watching Mossy roll back the years as he replicated the form that made him one of the first names on the county team-sheet for years, his ability from placed balls as strong as ever.
It's hard to believe Castleknock were winning the Dublin Junior Championship only four years ago. Incredible progression from such a young team.
