The clubrooms of St. Enda's GAA Club in Omagh were broken into sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Significant damage was done to the Tyrone club - what they called 'a despicable act' - including a number of safes being ripped from a wall and other items being stolen.
Club secretary Conor Scally told Cool FM that they hope to restore some normality for this weekend's National League fixture between Tyrone and Cavan.
We're hoping that by the weekend we'll be back to normal. Of course, there'll be thousands of people in Healy Park on Sunday.
Obviously it'll take longer than that for the full damage to be fixed.
These people have no regard for the community, no regard for the consequences of their actions.
I'd say they were interested in one thing and one thing only.
These people don't care that it's a community organisation, that it's a service for hundreds of people on a daily basis.
Club treasurer Paul Meldrum showed the extent of the damage to his office to BBC Newsline.
The club has not been dishearted by the damage. Last night, St. Enda's posted images to their Facebook page of the clean-up operation.
