When this happens it's always bandwagon soccer supporters thats to blame

This is a common sentiment expressed on the many GAA forums across the internet-superhighway. It's a watertight explanation for sure. The only reason why a referee was attacked in Croke park yesterday was that some soccer fans smuggled their way upon a bus down from Louth with the intent to cause trouble. Not only were the troublemakers organsied in getting to Dublin, but by the looks of those caught on camera yesterday, it was a wide ranging demographic of Louth men, from about 25-55, these men took it upon themselves to get even with the erroneous official.

We will find out later tonight whether the Meath county board offer up a replay, but if they do, surely it should be on the basis that Louth make sure their "soccer fans" don't come back.

Them scenes again..
