It was widely reported today that Dublin footballer Alan Brogan had retired from inter-county football in the wake of Dublin's loss to Donegal in yesterday's All-Ireland semi-final. Those reports included ones from RTÉ and the GAA website (and ourselves.)

However, the player has tweeted to deny the reports and to say that when he does make the decision, his family and teammates will be the first to know.
