Both sides emerged from their quarter-final tests with ease. Galway dismantled London 5-21 to 0-09 in Ruislip, while Sligo claimed a nine-point victory on the road against Leitrim.

This game is a repeat of last year's Connacht final, which saw Galway run out decisive winners on a scoreline of 2-20 to 0-12 in Castlebar.

The Tribesmen have been boosted by the return of their virtuosic forwards Shane Walsh and Damien Comer for the semi-final. Walsh starts at centre forward, while Comer returns to the bench.
