When Sky Sports bought Championship rights two and a half years ago, their initial coverage was a curiosity.
It was undoubtedly amusing to hear Jim White report on the 'Connort Championship' game from the Bronx where Mayo took on New York and 'Sillian O'Connor' put the locals to the sword.
Those little mishaps have mostly been eliminated in the interim. Their live game coverage is pretty good. Dave McIntyre is an excellent commentator. Jim McGuinness is always interesting in studio.
Following Sunday's All-Ireland final, there was a misstep, though.
On their Sky Sports News report of the game, Clare Tomlinson told of 'high drama' from Croke Park in that unknown event 'the All-England final'.
