The announcement of Sky's GAA coverage was always going to bring some opportunists out of the woodwork. One of them was in the form a Twitter account purporting to be the official Sky GAA account.
We have invested in the GAA and will promote its games from grassroots to elite levels. We will earn your trust and support. #SkySportsGAA

Though if you were really paying attention, something was not quite right with it.
We are disappointed to hear that not all @officialgaa fans support #SkySportsGAA - but who can say it was love at first sight with your wife

But it certainly fooled the odd Irish media outlet such as Inpho and the Irish Examiner both of whom tagged it in tweets.

Sky Sports tweeted this morning to say that there is no official account for their GAA coverage yet and that the @GAASkySports one was a fake.
Sky doesn't have an @officialgaa Twitter account for our coverage yet. When we do we'll let you know. Ignore the fakes like @GAASkySports.

It has now changed its Twitter bio to "The official unofficial account of Sky Sports GAA."
