Congress' failure to pass a motion to alter the football championship has caused consternation among the GAA world in the past, but this weekend's summit has provided another take on this age-old anger.
This time Congress have managed to successfully alter the structure of the Championship, and it is being portrayed as the GAA hierarchy being utterly discordant with its players. The idea that the Super 8s is beneficial to the club players, as the GAA has claimed, has been rubbished by a number of players:

Shane Williams has been doing a twitter Q&A this afternoon, to promote his appearance on AIB's the Toughest Trade. Williams has been playing Gaelic football with Glenswilly in Donegal, swapping sports with Michael Murphy, who has been playing rugby with Clermont.
Williams impressed on is debut in the driving snow in Donegal, kicking four points in dreadful conditions. The Welsh wizard has spoken highly of his experience, and during the Q&A, he was asked his opinion on the Super 8 structure. His response was brilliant:
