Supporters of Na Fianna were heard to be booing Shane Walsh during the Dublin County Final as their side took on Kilmacud Crokes on Sunday.
The boos were audible whenever the Galway GAA star got his hands on the ball.
If Na Fianna supporters were booing Shane Walsh because of his transfer then that's fairly hilarious. Learn your history. #GAA #GAABEO pic.twitter.com/ksutK2VRPF

Man Of The Match Performance
However, Walsh did not let the boos affect him. He put in a man of the match performance despite missing most of the first half with a blood injury. Having been patched up in the ambulance, he came back on in the second-half kicking three points. His tally was crucial as Kilmacud Crokes edged out Na Fianna by 0-11 to 0-10.

In his post-match interview with TG4, Walsh admitted to slagging off the lads saying that he hasn't come here to help them win titles.
I'm not bringing success to you, to the club, I'm just joining up with ye in hoping you'll be able to drag me over the line.

The 29-year-old would later receive a hero's welcome at Kilmacud Crokes' clubhouse for dragging the team over the line.
Club Transfer
The forward is enjoying his first season at the South Dublin club after his transfer from Galway club Kilkerrin Clonberne. The move proved controversial as his home club cited that it is getting harder for rural clubs to keep their best players. Walsh's reason for the transfer is that he is currently studying a BA in Physical Education in Portobello College Dublin, therefore not wanting to commute over and back to Galway nearly every evening. Many people have defended the Galway star over the transfer.
Leinster Championship
Up next for Kilmacud Crokes is the Leinster Club championship. The Dublin club won the title last year en route to the All Ireland club final, so will be rightly favourites for it. They missed out on being crowned champions in the All Ireland decider, losing by a late goal to Kilcoo in extra time. The Dublin county champions will be hoping Walsh will prove to be the difference this year.
