Shane Walsh made his return to action, helping Kilmacud over the line in their Dublin senior football quarter final against Ballyboden St Enda's.
It was the Walsh's first appearance for his adopted club since the All-Ireland final in early August, when Galway lost out to Armagh.
The 31-year-old played on through hamstring and ankle injuries throughout the inter-county campaign but in the aftermath opted to sit out the group stages of Kilmacud's championship.
He was back in the starting team for their first knock-out game of the year, kicking 1-4, including 1-2 from play as they overcame Ballyboden St Enda's to reach the county semi-final.

Robbie Brennan's side are in pursuit of a fourth successive Dublin title and their credentials were put under the microscope here, with a late Daire Sweeney free for Ballyboden sending the game to extra-time.
Kilmacud took over what was a feisty local derby from there, with Walsh kicking 1-1 in extra-time as they outscored their neighbours by 1-7 to 0-0 in the extra-time period, winning out by 1-20 to 0-13 in the end.
Ballyboden's challenge petered out in extra-time with both Colm Basquel and Michael O'Gara receiving red cards in the closing stages of the game. Kilmacud's Rory O'Carroll was also red carded in the game after two yellows.
Elsewhere, Na Fianna had five point to spare on Clontarf in the other quarter final in Parnell Park with Cuala overcooming Castleknock. They'll take on Ballymun in the semi-finals after they won the other local derby on Friday night, defeating St Vincent's by 0-2.
