The push, the laugh, the explanation - Sean Quigley got it all right on Sunday.

Chancing his arm a little, the Fermanagh full forward shoved Stephen Cluxton back over his line as the Dublin keeper attempted to create some distance between himself and the goal.

It was a bit like a defensive lineman negating the efforts of a running back for negative yards and a safety. Except in the sport of GAA, it really should not have been allowed.

Post-match, Quigley spoke to Marty Morrissey, on Radio One's 'The Marty Squad', about the goal.

The Fermanagh man had a slightly tongue-in-cheek explanation for what happened, saying that Cluxton must have 'stumbled back into the goals'.

You just hope for the best in them situations.

I think Stephen made an attempt to try and push me out of the way. He stumbled back into the goals.

I don't know what happened, he must have just lost his footing, it's something like that.

I suppose when you are from Fermanagh, coming up to Dublin you need those bits of luck to life the game.

When you are coming up against Dublin, a classy outfit like they are, we are going to take anything we can get.
