Reflecting on this year's championship as we reach the semi-final stage, it's fair to say that Armagh failed to meet expectations once again this year.
It is clear that Kieran McGeeney has one of the most talented panels in the country at his disposal, although they have struggled to show that on the pitch in recent times. It is remarkable that the county have not won a provincial title since 2008. In fact, this year marked the first occasion that they reached an Ulster final since that last triumph.
Their quarter-final performance against Monaghan was an incredibly poor one, even if they were unfortunate to lose the game on penalties. Despite having the more talented team, Armagh played within themselves and were ultimately made to pay for their conservative approach.
Sean Cavanagh throws dig at Armagh on RTÉ
Armagh are now being viewed in a different light by many onlookers, with some doubting their status as one of the best teams in the country.
Their neighbours in Tyrone were certainly relieved to see them bow out of the championship at the quarter-final stage, with one of their former players taking the opportunity to throw a dig at their rivals this afternoon.
Speaking on RTÉ, Sean Cavanagh could help but throw a thinly veiled jab at the county when speaking to Galway star Damien Comer about his team's loss to the Ulster outfit.

Did you approach that final game against Armagh any differently to how you approached the first couple of games mindset wise? Up to that game, we were all sitting here looking at Galway as the strongest team in the country.
For me anyway looking in, and with Armagh time has proven that they're not a top team, did you feel it was going to be a bit easier that day and that's ultimately what cost you?
He knew what he was doing there.
The dig was not missed by presenter Joanne Cantwell, who said:
I love the Armagh dig already in the very first conversation from a Tyrone man!
They may no longer be in the championship, but a Tyrone man is never going to miss the opportunity to throw a dig at Armagh.
