There was much consternation across the country yesterday as citizens were forced to gather around the wireless like days of lore and listen in on Dublin's epic win over Kilkenny. Of course the more web savvy individual could merely log on to RTE's website - but then you were left in lap of the Gods of buffering. Even Twitter failed to accurately describe what was going on with words like f***, phrases like "Is this happening?" and "Christ, Liam Rushe" doing little to convey just what was going on. There was a lot of justifiable complaining after about the fact it's been 71 years since Dublin last Kilkenny in the Championship and you couldn't watch it on the telly back then either. One RTE pundit and former Kilkenny great Eddie Brennan heartily endorsed the complaints.
There is a bumper Sunday Game on tonight I suppose.
