RTÉ have announced plans to broadcast highlights from round one of the qualifiers that take place this Saturday during the Sunday Game Live this weekend.
The Sunday Game highlights will show a shorter version of these games that night. It comes after the Sunday Game has been over two hours for the past few weeks due to the increase in games under new Munster and Leinster hurling Championship formats.
It means highlights from Meath vs Tyrone, Offaly vs Antrim, Wexford vs Waterford, Derry vs Kildare, Wicklow vs Cavan, Limerick vs Mayo and Westmeath vs Armagh will all be shown during Sunday's live coverage. The only game that will not feature is London vs Louth as that is scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
Sunday afternoon's live show will feature highlights of all 7 of Saturday's SFC qualifier matches. A shorter package will feature on 9.30pm programme #thesundaygame #RTEGAA pic.twitter.com/iaqPcRrFk0

RTÉ's live Sunday Game show to include highlights of the weekend's football qualifiers, presumably freeing up a fair bit of space for the Sunday night highlights show. Credit where it's due, that's a good idea. They seem to be listening #GAA
