The Dublin senior championship semi-finals are down for decision this evening, with Ballymun Kickhams taking on Kilmacud Crokes in the first of a Parnell Park double-header. Crokes' hopes of setting up a final with either Vincent's or Jude's were dealt a major blow within twenty minutes of the game's start, with Ross O'Carroll getting a straight red card for a sliding tackle on James McCarthy.

Barry Cahill on commentary seemed convinced it wouldn't be a red, with Johnny Cooper and Marc O'Sé agreeing at halftime that it was harsh, and instead warranted a yellow.
