Rory O'Carroll recalled how a 2014 interview on RTÉ Radio One which featured his brother Ross pretending to be him was the "talk of the town".
"We'd lost to Donegal in 2014 in the All-Ireland semi-final," five-time Dublin All-Ireland winner Rory told the BBC's The GAA Social podcast.
"I was still playing hurling at the time. We had the hurling sevens the following Saturday.
"[Kilmacud] Crokes had two teams in the competition to make up numbers and I was on the second team. My two brothers were on the first team."
'They did a live interview on RTÉ'
Rory said Ross particularly enjoys "taking the piss" out of him.
"Joanne Cantwell said 'Rory' towards Ross, and Ross, in his mind, his face lit up," he continued.
"He said, 'Yes, I am Rory'. Whether it was her, or somebody else, they said, 'Would you and your brother Ross like to do an interview?' He said, 'I would love that'.
"He called my brother Bill over. Ross was pretending to be Rory and Bill was pretending to be Ross. They did a live interview [on RTÉ Radio 1] in Kilmacud during the sevens.
"He told Joanne that I'd watched the Donegal game twice a day every day since we'd lost, which was something like 14 times.
"[Ross] was talking about how he was friends with all these different people that I wasn't [friends with].
"Bill was talking about getting back with an old girlfriend of his while he was pretending to be Ross but Ross couldn't say anything because he was Rory. This was live on the radio.
"I think it was Darragh Maloney that tweeted it. Then I remember Paul Casey texting me about it, and I think he tweeted them back saying, 'That's actually Ross, not Rory'."
The interview aired live on RTÉ's Saturday Sport on September 6th, a day before that year's drawn All-Ireland hurling final between Kilkenny and Tipperary.
"I turned up to Crokes just to watch the sevens," said O'Carroll.
"We'd been knocked out. It was the talk of the town.
"[Ross] texted me about it two months ago saying 'Can you find that interview? I can't find it anywhere online. They've deleted it'. I don't know if it's in existence anymore."
Unfortunately, the interview does no longer appear to be available on the RTÉ website or anywhere else online.
