One of the cornerstones of Dublin's All-Ireland title run, Rory O'Carroll shocked the champions back in January by announcing he wouldn't be returning to the panel for 2016.
O'Carroll wanted to travel, and spent the first six months of the year in New Zealand. Now though, O'Carroll is itching for a return to play. But the full-back won't be returning to Dublin.
O'Carroll has had a transfer to Chicago club McBrides sanctioned and will be playing in the North American Championships this year. O'Carroll was approached by the Chicago club to play in the latter half of their championships for approximately four to six weeks.
O'Carroll said back in February that he wasn't sure when he would return to the Dublin fold, but it seems that the lures of Chicago, albeit for a short period of time was too much to ignore.
