St. Eunan's Clubman and long-time member of the Donegal panel, Rory Kavanagh, has announced his decision to retire from inter-county football in a dicussion with The Donegal Democrat.

The 32-year-old won an All-Ireland as well as three Ulster titles with his county. The Letterkenny man added a sixth Donegal Club Championship to his tally in November, St.Eunan's beating Glenswilly 0-09 to 0-06. He togged out for his county 132 times, scoring 4-41.

Kavanagh, who started Donegal's All-Ireland final loss to Kerry, will certainly be a major loss to new manager Rory Gallagher in terms of experience.
