Ulster GAA confirmed on Sunday that Rory Gallagher has been "temporarily debarred" from coaching.
The announcement came after the Sunday World published pictures of the former Derry manager leading a training session last week with a club in Monaghan.
In the week prior to May's Ulster football final, Gallagher "stepped back" from his role as manager following serious allegations of domestic abuse which were made by his estranged wife Nicola Gallagher.
Four days later, he resigned from the role. Prior to stepping back, Gallagher had released a statement saying that the "allegations against me have been investigated and dealt with by the relevant authorities".
In a statement issued on Sunday night, Ulster GAA said they "wish to confirm that Mr Rory Gallagher has been temporarily debarred, without prejudice, from the GAA until the Ulster GAA Safeguarding Panel conclude their work. We will not be making any further comment on these matters at this time."
Last month, it was reported by the Impartial Reporter that Ulster GAA had commissioned an independent investigation into the allegations made against Gallagher.
Ciarán Meenagh, Gallagher's assistant, took over as Derry manager after the Fermanagh man stepped back. Meenagh led Derry to the defence of their Ulster title against Armagh along with topping their group in the new All-Ireland SFC.
Derry subsequently defeated Cork in the All-Ireland quarter-finals before losing to Kerry in the semi-final.
