Many of us have seen the Meath lads who watched the 1996 All-Ireland football final from the roof of the Nally Stand (we can only hope the view from the roof of the Nally Stand was better than the view from inside it) and marvelled at their willingness to stand for the national anthem, risking a potentially lethal fall in the process.
Well, a league game from the following year offered us an example of an imaginative supporter taking up a far more perilous vantage point.
Evidently, it was hard to find a good spot for the 1997 National League clash between Galway and Clare in Athenry.
You'd pay a fortune for a view like that anywhere else.
