Kerry's Eamonn Fitzmaurice has informed the media that he is stepping down from his role as county senior football manager.
Fitzmaurice has been in the role since 2012 and won an All-Ireland title in 2014. Prior to that, he was involved with the team as a selector while also taking the U21s. He had signed a deal last year until 2020. However, Fitzmaurice broke the news after Kerry were knocked out of the Championship. Despite a 3-25 to 2-16 victory over Kildare in Killarney, Monaghan's win in Galway ensured they topped the group while Galway progressed as runners-up.
