It's been eight years since Kerry won Division 1 of the National League but today's win over Dublin was about much more than silverware. They hung for dear life to halt the Dublin 36 game unbeaten streak and the Metropolitans' quest for a League 5-in-a-row. The talented generation of young Kerry players will head into the Championship buoyant on the back of today's win.

The broadcast of the match on Radio Kerry was absolutely breathless, as Ambrose O'Donovan and Gary O'Sullivan experienced all the highs and lows of the match. The lads seemed especially convinced Dean Rock was going to nail the final kick of the game but they were pleasantly delighted when the ball hit the post.
