After three All-Irelands and three All-Stars, Conor Gormley called time on his inter-county career yesterday.

The defender won All-Irelands in 2003, 2005 and 2008 under Mickey Harte.

Late in the 2003 final he produced probably the most memorable block in GAA history when he threw himself in front of a goal-bound shot from Armagh's Steven McDonnell.

Even McDonnell himself paid tribute.
