Ferns St. Aidan's won their first ever Wexford senior hurling title yesterday defeating 2019 champions St. Martins by one point at Wexford Park.
It was a thrilling game with Patrick Breen's incredible solo goal separating the sides.
Ferns had lost two previous county senior finals most recently in 2013 when they were beaten by Oulart the Ballagh.
The village that was the ancient capital of Ireland finally managed to get their hands on the Dr. R.J. Bowe Cup and the celebrations continued long into the night.
The photos from Ramsey Cardy from Sportsfile captured all of the emotions of a day that Ferns will never forget.
