Pics: It's Not Hard To See Why The Hurling Interpros Were Cancelled

Storm Desmond is battering all sports grounds through the stadiums, from local fixtures right up to the hurling interprovincal games. While it's easy to understand why this pitch had a game postponed - it's rarer to have a big game in a stadium like Pearse Stadium in Salthill have a game called off.

Fortunately, sportsfile sent Piaras Ó Mídheach to Salthill to cover the game, and he was able to take some cracking photos of the weather:
