Trailing by 9-points with only quarter-of-an-hour gone, Clare had to dig very deep to take today's All-Ireland hurling championship semi-final to extra-time. Getting within touching distance of Galway before inevitably falling a little behind, a Peter Duggan point kicked off a late flurry of scores that brought them level just in the nick of time.
Although Johnny Coen could have won it for the reigning All-Ireland champions very late on, Ger Canning in commentary suspected that if Clare were to reel Galway in, this Peter Duggan point would contribute; psychologically, if nothing else.
An incredible moment that only served to top off what has been an astounding performance from Duggan (among others), it certainly got people talking.

They'll have to postpone that hurling series on RTE and remake it to include that Duggan point

With incredible control of the ball on his hurl, it will be difficult you suspect to find a better score than this point in the 2018 championship.
"A truly astonishing score" - Peter Duggan hits a spectacular point as Clare try their best to stay in the game.
