With a four-point lead not flattering their first-half dominance, the question was asked in the RTÉ studio, will Tipperary's Jekyll & Hyde performances against Cork and Waterford now result in a second-half collapse against Clare instead?
Although calling it a collapse may be harsh, somehow, Tipperary managed to find themselves on the losing side; Clare winning 1-23 to 1-21 in Thurles
Looking comfortable coming into the final stretch, Tipperary were caught on the hop; Ian Galvin burying this effort for Clare to turn it into a one-point game.

With the game tied in injury-time and looking set to result in another Munster hurling championship draw, Clare made the most of a defensive error, Peter Duggan doing the damage late on and putting Tipperary's championship hopes to dead for 2018.

The provincial championship that just won't stop giving, Clare, Limerick and Cork will all head into the last weekend knowing that a place in the 2018 Munster final is still there to be won or lost.
