In the dying moments of the game, as Peter Crowley surged up the pitch, he was clattered to the ground by Kevin McManamon. Howls of 'foul' railed down from the Kerry supporters, but referee David Gough waved on, Dublin went straight up the other end and Diarmuid Connolly swung over a fine score to seal the game.
Here's the incident frame-by-frame.
If you want to watch the clip in full, you can do so here.
Was that shoulder-to-shoulder? The incident has cut ice online, with some theorizing that Gough may have missed the incident, but not through any fault of his own.
Did Philly McMahon block the eye-line of David Gough for that "shoulder"? #GAA

Watched the Crowley incident again and it doesn't look like a shoulder-to-shoulder hit but Gough doesn't have a clear view of it

Others were fairly peeved/bemused by Gough's treatment of the incident.
Fair play to Dublin but how was that shoulder on Peter Crowley deemed fair??!! #DUBvKER

Others, still, were unsympathetic. Our own Gavan Casey included.
Ref didn't blow for a meaty challenge all day. If you're crying out for 'consistency', you got it at the end with McManamon's hit on Crowley
