Tyrone legend Peter Canavan is famed in the GAA world and is one of the most respected figures in the sport, lifting two All-Irelands, winning a Player of the Year and picking up six All-Stars during his time in white and red.
During the latter stages of his career, Canavan was one of the elder statesmen in the team, but formed a brilliant on-field relationship with young forwards coming through like Stevie O'Neill, Brian McGuigan and of course, Owen Mulligan.
'Mugsy' as he is affectionally known was actually a student of Canavan's at Holy Trinity college in Cookstown, but that didn't mean he was afraid to include is old teacher in the craic.
Speaking on Tomás Ó’Sé's podcast Comhrá Le the former flying forward revealed that Mulligan once stole his phone in a prank that had more than one victim.

He managed to take my phone one night, we were down in Mayo staying away somewhere and my phone disappeared.
"Mugsy of course had got it and he managed to get into my contacts, and if he didn't send about 30 or 40 messages to people that I didn't really want any messages going to."
Ó’Sé asked: "Was it a rude message he sent?"
"A few of them were nice", admitted Canavan. "Father Gerard was a part of the team at that stage, he told Father Gerard to call up to the room, that I wanted to see him in 20 minutes.
"Father Gerard got up and walked out looking at me, to see if I was alright.
"I had a car sponsored at the time by Terence Donnelly, a great man in Dungannon, and of course Mugsy sent Terence a message from my phone saying that I thought the car was s*** and I was going to go to another car sponsor.
"He sent a message to Adrian Logan telling him that I thought he was the worst commentator ever and that Jackie Fullerton would know more about Gaelic football.
"You can imagine the amount of messages that I had to send to people for days after that apologising, and trying to explain to them that it wasn't me that sent them, but anyway I got him back in the end."
This is brilliant from Canavan… @owen_mulligan steals his phone and starts texting all round him!!😆😆 Brilliant!!!

The dressing room does not discriminate, and no one is exempt from pranks, even when you are regarded as the county's greatest ever player.
However, it was this sort of camaraderie that helped gel the team together and become one of the most dangerous sides in Gaelic football.
