On a hectic day for Irish sport, not as many as usual will be tuning in to watch Dublin take on Roscommon in a 'dead-rubber' at Croke Park. However, for those that missed it, Paul Flynn has scored either a wonderful goal, or a lucky lob.
Leading 2-12 to 0-7 at half-time, it has been, predictably enough, all Dublin. With an All-Ireland semi-final with Galway already coming down the pipeline, players will be looking to give Jim Gavin food for thought ahead of what is sure to be a hotly-contested battle.
Leading by only 3 points after 20 minutes of play, Flynn's goal doubled Dublin's lead. Dropping it in, it is difficult to determine whether or not Flynn meant for the ball to loop in as it did.

Either way, the goal all but ended any hope Roscommon had of gaining a foothold in the game, and, with the second-half still to come, it could get a lot worse.
