For Episode 11 of the Hard Shoulder, Tony and Sweets welcomed Donegal 'keeper Paul Durcan to Balls HQ for a fascinating conversation about Donegal's season, the art of the kick out, the devastation that followed losing last year's All-Ireland to Kerry and how Donegal emerged as a power in gaelic football under Jim McGuinness and Rory Gallagher.
Durcan was especially candid in speaking about the botched kickout in the second half of the 2014 All-Ireland final that landed right in Kieran Donaghy's hands.
I remember it well. My heel it the ground and the ball didn't go the direction it was supposed to.
It's amazing how something so simple can bring a person such upset but thankfully Durcan has put it behind him. The big man highlighted the people around him who offered great support, including Donegal manager Rory Gallagher.
Rory was very good too. He was in touch with me since he got the job. I was kind of wondering would I go back to it and he convinced me. And to be honest I think I had my best year for Donegal this year.
There's all that, plus a story about how Michael Murphy pushed Anthony Moyles to the Meath subs bench once and for all in 2011 league match in Navan - only on the Hard Shoulder, Ireland's hottest GAA podcast.
