On The Sunday Game's live coverage of the All-Ireland football final Joe Brolly made a comparison between the boxer Amir Khan and the Dublin football team, that being they were both dazzling in attack but much weaker in defence. Michael Lyster did't quite get the reference though, thinking that Brolly was talking about the cricketer, Imran Khan.
Much hilarity ensued.
The mention of Imran Khan fired up Pat Spillane's memory synapses and he recalled a moment from an Adelaide night club in 1981.
I knew the Sunday Game was missing something but couldn't quite put my finger on it. More stories about the lads getting the shift back in the day, that's what we needed.
