The now defunct Parnells GAA club have set plans in motion to relaunch the club under the name Pobal Parnell, which translates to Parnell Community.
The plan was agreed upon at a meeting of both members and interested parties on Monday night, during which a new executive to run the club was also formed.
Details released by Dermot Crowe of the Irish Independent showed that the new executive are now set to begin work with the Dublin County Board on the 'affiliation process' so they can resume playing activities.
However, it is still unknown how long that will take, or whether the process will be concluded before Adult Fixtures get underway in the capital.

Parnells confirms plans to relaunch as Pobal Parnell
The Coolock Club shocked the GAA world late last year when it was confirmed that they would wind up operations and return their state-of-the-art facilities to their original owners the Marist Order.
The closure not only shrouded the club's future in a cloud of uncertainty but also marked the demise of one of the wealthiest clubs in the country.
The club had initially been the beneficiary of a €22 million windfall when they sold land near Dublin Airport in 2008. While they built a state-of-the-art clubhouse, restaurant and facilities in Coolock with the money, the funds quickly ran out, with the closure of their restaurant during COVID-19 the final nail in the coffin.
Their poor financial situation eventually came to a head before Christmas when their lands were returned to the Marist Order off whom they'd bought the land in Coolock. The company operating the business side of the operation was then officially closed earlier this month.
Since then the club's players have been unable to train or play due to a lack of insurance and affiliation, however, Pobal Parnell's newly formed executive have now informed its members that they're working with the County Board on the affiliation process and will be in touch with return to play dates, membership details and other relevant information in due course.
