The new Pairc Ui Chaoimh held its first game on Wednesday night.
10,749 turned up, with over-16s paying €10 in, as the 45,000 capacity stadium hosted a Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship match between Blarney and Valley Rovers.
The refurbishment cost €80 million and took more than 18 months to complete.
This weekend, it hosts two All-Ireland hurling quarter-finals as Clare face Tipperary on Saturday and Wexford play Waterford on Sunday.
Both games are expected to be sell-outs.
