Another year another dollar. Ahead of the official 2015 All Star Awards we're back with our annual alternative All Star Awards for players outside the top four counties.
History dictates that if you are to win an actual All Star then you probably need to making at least a semi-final. But what of the players knocked out before that stage? Our alternative awards pays homage to those players who shone throughout the year.
This year's selection was a little strange given that we ended up in lots of conundrums where there simply wasn't space in certain positions to put in the players we thought deserving, while in other areas of the field there was a dearth of stand-out performers. Therefore we've had to do a little be rejigging to accommodate the likes of Karl O'Connell and Paul Cribbin.
Special mention goes to Gary O'Donnell of Galway who actually won the public vote for player of the year outside of the top six counties (the semi-finalists plus Monghan and Donegal).
What do you make of the team?
