Aidan Forker was sent off against Donegal for head-butting Michael Murphy in Donegal's win over Armagh in the Allianz National League.
Murphy had just came off the bench, his first appearance for Donegal since 2022, and Forker went straight into him, resulting in a pushing match not uncommon in Gaelic football.
However, things took a bizarre turn when the Orchard captain struck his head on the forward's chest, resulting in a red card.
Speaking on the BBC GAA Social, Armagh legend Oisin McConville highlighted that there is some confusion around the differentiation of head-butting someone in the chest, as opposed to their head.

"I haven't seen the context of the incident, all I have seen is the actual incident, so all I have seen is a video of the actual incident.
"I have to confess, I don't know what the actual rule is as far, a head-butt to the chest - I wonder could the referee have stepped in a bit quicker and put an end to the pushing and shoving.
"I thought a headbutt had to be head to head, as far as that infraction goes - a two-match ban for a headbutt doesn't sound like the right penalty, I thought the ban was sterner than that, if you hit somebody a headbutt on the head, that's pretty far down the line.
"This one here doesn't seem as bad, but he's probably going to get two games. It probably is a sending off yeah.
"Sometimes you need to step back and have a look at everything that has gone on there, and if I take that in pure isolation - the pushing and shoving has gone just that little bit too far.
According to the rule book, the striking motion of the head is where the infringement comes in, and it does not specify about where the head needs to land, whether that's chest, face or anywhere else.
For this reason, it looks like Forker will receive the same punishment as he would have, if he had of connected with Murphy's face.
The Donegal hero went on to enjoy a brilliant game, kicking three points, and catching a kick out with one hand that will surely end up in his career highlights reel, and that is already a jam packed reel.
