11 days after their senior hurlers were relegated to the Christy Ring Cup, Offaly's U20s gave the county reason for hope.

At Parnell Park on Wednesday night, Offaly's young guns beat Dublin by a point following extra-time.

John Murphy scored the winning point - his second of the game - at the death as his side edged it 1-29 to 2-25.

Offaly's Cathal Kiely scored a remarkable 0-20 in the game, 18 of those scores came from placed balls.

Sportsfile's Eóin Noonan was in Donnycarney to capture some joyous Offaly celebrations.
