Marc Ó Sé's An Ghaeltacht saw off Cork’s Cill na Martra in the Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta final in Mayo yesterday, having lost last year's final and not won the title since 1999.
The Kerrymen scored a whopping 4-17 to Cill na Martra's 1-11, with 2016 Junior All-Ireland winner Sean Mícheál Ó Conchubhair kicking 0-9, 2014 Minor star Tomás Ó Sé hitting 2-2, and Dara Ó Sé also getting on the scoreboard.
The Kilnamartyra club had their task made exponentially more difficult at the stroke of half-time, however, when 2010 Cork All-Ireland winner Noel O'Leary received a straight-red for clotheslining an opponent.
Down 2-9 to 0-5 with less than a minute to the break, O'Leary's outstretched arm violently felled an oncoming midfielder. Despite protesting his innocence, he was given his marching orders.

An Ghaeltacht will now look forward to an Intermediate semi-final in their home county.
Ó Sé took the reins at the start of this campaign, and is joined in the management team by former All-Ireland-winning captain Dara Ó Cinnéide.
