The GAA's 'groundbreaking' decision to hold the SFC qualifier between Laois and Carlow on a Friday night might not have been fully thought through. According to the Examiner, Dr. Cullen Park in Carlow does not actually have floodlights.
The game is scheduled to start at 7.45 so if the game goes to extra-time this may become a problem. Remember also that in GAA, it is 'mandatory' for both teams to go back to the dressing-rooms for a ten minute tactical debriefing/hairdryer treatment before returning to the field. Don't be shocked if we have similar scenes to this on the 28th of June.
The Friday night throw-in has already been roundly criticised by a number of Laois players on Twitter.
what a load of shite by the GAA with a Friday night fixture.. shower of clowns running this organisation..
