Derry vs Donegal in the Ulster Football Championship semi-final at Clones was an intense, intriguing game.
14 minutes into the second half, Derry reduced the gap to three points with a Cailean O’Boyle score. It came from a turnover in midfield.
Donegal retained possession around the middle, probing to find some space. Colm McFadden turned up field after being found by a handpass from Neil Gallagher. McFadden was lined up by Derry midfielder Niall Holly who put a bone-shuddering hit on the forward.
Donegal won the game by two points on a scoreline of 1-9 to 0-10.
