Niall Grimley is an All-Ireland winner, an Armagh hero, and a top class inter-county footballer - three things that can now never be taken away from him.
No matter what happens in his life, or how long has passed, he can always say with full conviction and honesty that he was once those three things, and just like the Armagh team that won the All-Ireland in 2002, Grimley is now immortalised in history with this current crop of players.
However, it was only two short years ago that all of that could have went up in smoke and the dream squashed before it ever came close to fruition.
Back in 2022, the man mountain midfielder had sustained an injury that resulted in two broken bones in his neck, and the severity of this issue meant that he was on the brink of losing much more than just his football career.
Speaking after the newly crowned All-Ireland champions were introduced to their fans at The Athletic Grounds, Grimley explained how different things were two years ago.
