Pádraig Pearses won their second ever Roscommon Senior Football Championship title with victory over Clann na nGael on Sunday. Pearses edged the game 2-8 to 0-11.
The game was Pearses third Roscommon senior final in three years, and adds to their maiden title win in 2019.
"It was unbelievable," Man of the Match Niall Daly told TG4.
"We knew coming down here that Clann na nGael are an unbelievable team with unbelievable tradition. To get over the line by three points was class."
Pearses led a low-scoring game 0-4 to 0-3 at half-time.
"It was really cagey," said Daly.
"I suppose we were disappointed at half-time because we felt we had a few chances to get ahead by a few more. Paul Carey stepped up big time in the second half. That goal we got at the start of the second half was unbelievable. We kicked on from there.
"Clann, the great team that they are, they came back at us. Thankfully, at the end, we got a great team goal, which we were delighted about.
"We went back then and just tried to prevent them from scoring a goal. We were five points up at the waterbreak, and they came back at us."
