One time, two times, three times a lady for Conor McCarthy today.
As Monaghan battle it out against Donegal in Division 1 North of the Allianz National Football League, Conor McCarthy's goal heroics are bound to steal some of the headlines.
The Scotstown clubman is attempting to one up David Clifford from last week with three goals scored in the first-half in Ballybofey.
The first goal came in the ninth minute, as McCarthy is seen dummying goalkeeper Shaun Patton with a hop, dummying it again before burying it in the back of the net.

Seven minutes later, McCarthy found his second. A brilliant solo run by Karl O'Connell led to hand pass into McCarthy, who wrestled through some Donegal defenders before netting the goal.

If two wasn't good enough, Conor McCarthy went on to score his third before the game hit the twenty minute mark.
This time Ryan McAnespie was the provider with a low driven ball into the forward line. McCarthy broke free from a tackle and placed a powerful low ball into the bottom corner.

It's a huge turnaround for the Monaghan forward who didn't make it on the scoresheet last weekend against Armagh.
Monaghan welcomed Armagh back to Division 1 but were beaten by a four point margin in Enniskillen.
They'll be hoping Conor McCarthy's goals can drive them forward in Division 1 North in this league campaign.
