Niall Morgan was presented with his second All-Star award a day late having missed the banquet in the RDS on Friday night.
The Tyrone goalkeeper won his second All-Star award for his performances this season but didn't attend the ceremony, having been on a family holiday in Doha.
Ciarán McLaughlin, Ulster GAA president presented him with his award during RTÉ's coverage of Errigal Ciaran's Ulster first round win over St Eunan's, with Morgan stating he 'probably didn't expect' to be named on the team.
Upon accepting his award, the Edendork club-man said with a smile that 'mine has probably has caused the biggest debate out of everybody's."
There was plenty of debate about Morgan's inclusion in the team ahead of Blaine Hughes with many supporters of an Armagh persuasion contesting the decision.
Morgan said it's nice to get individual recognition though succeeding with the team is the main goal at the start of every year. Morgan was the only previous winner on the 2024 All-Star team, becoming only the second Ulster goalkeeper after Paul Durcan to win two awards.
"We've had a really disappointing last three years," said the Tyrone goalkeeper.
"It is nice to get some individual recognition whenever you are playing well.
"But it's an opinion based thing and it's completely individualised and it takes away from the team aspect."
"It was great for fourteen new lads to take to the stage. Unfortunately I missed it, I only flew back in this morning but a great night was had by all by accounts.
"The flights were booked from March, just the way the holidays fell. Did I expect it, probably not, so it was a nice surprise to get whenever I was away."
