Kilkenny defeated Tipperary in the Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship semi-final in the curtain raiser at Croke Park on Sunday.
It was a two-point win for Kilkenny - 1-15 to 2-10.
The closeness of the scoreline was due in large to a Tipperary substitute - Mikey O'Shea.
The forward came off the bench to fire two superb goals, both of which brought his side back into the game when it looked beyond the Tipp reach.
O'Shea entered the game late in the first half. His first goal arrived 12 minutes after the break. Tipp were seven points down at the time.
