It's happened again!
Mayo have lost the All-Ireland Final by a point, after Dublin completed their three-in-a-row. Despite leading by two points in the final ten minutes, Dublin's experience prevailed in the end.
While there was euphoria from Dublin fans, it was a different scene on Mid West Radio with commentator Michael D. McAndrew and former Mayo manager Martin Carney.
The duo have seen Mayo lose numerous All-Ireland Finals and it all got too much for them in the final moments as Dublin kept the ball to wind down the clock.
As Dublin kept the ball in the final moments, Carney called their tactics as "beyond cruelty, it's sadism at its worst.
I've seen heartbreak in by time, but this absolutely surpasses any of the heartache I've seen. It is so, so, so, so, so awful.
Both men called the result cruel. Carney understandably struggled to keep his emotions in check when Joe McQuillan blew the final whistle.
I haven't seen as cruel a defeat in all my time in football. It is beyond belief that a team that gives so much that that team gave today is on the wrong side of that result... They're beyond distraught.
Mid West Radio's twitter account said what every Mayo fan was thinking.
Why?? Why?? Again.

If it's even possible, the team will have to regroup for 2018. Mayo have come back before, but that loss will be so tough to take.
