There's not a person in Ireland who could say it's anything other than great to hear his voice again. Following his well publicised heart troubles, Michael Lyster was on the Sean O'Rourke show on RTÉ Radio this morning explaining just how close to death's door he came.

As he has before, Lyster explained how his wife, Ann, had effectively saved his life with her knowledge of first aid. The Sunday Game presenter was playing golf with journalist Vincent Hogan when he arrived home and realised he had left his phone in Hogan's car. Hogan returned with the phone, found O'Rourke on the floor and called for Ann.

While waiting for an ambulance, Ann performed CPR and kept Lyster alive until the paramedics arrived. According to the man himself, there's no doubt he would no longer be arounds had it not been for his wife's intervention. Thankfully, he is still with us and that gave some familiar faces the opportunity to let him know just how highly he is thought of.

Brolly sent me several (texts) and in actual fact he sent me one the other night which was an order basically. 'You mind yourself'. That's a recurring text from Joe.

We've heard the same sentence delivered as a threat but we're going to assume this one was rather more supportive. Not exactly a heartfelt show of fraternal love but it's the thought that counts.
