Ballyboden St. Enda's and Portlaoise played out an epic encounter in Tullamore on Sunday afternoon in the Leinster club final.
The Dublin champions won by the minimum on a scoreline of 2-9 to 1-11.
Early in the first half, Michael Darragh Maccauley put down a marker for the type of game he was going to play with a monster shoulder on Portlaoise wing-back Eoghan Whelan.
The midfielder's hit would regain possession for Ballyboden and eventually result in a score.
